Tiramisu
Get your hands on the perfect Tiramisu recipe to make this classic Italian dessert at home. Amoretti® Cappuccino-Tiramisu Compound adds the perfect depth of flavor that makes it all the more luscious and divine!
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups of pastry cream or custard
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
- 2-3 Tbsp. Amoretti® Cappuccino-Tiramisu Compound
- 2 cups strong hot coffee
- 1.5 oz. rum
- 45-50 lady fingers (or enough to fill and layer in a 9 x 13 inches dessert tray)
- Cocoa powder (to dust the top)
Directions
Filling:
- Whip the heavy cream on a stand mixer or using a hand mixer until it begins to froth up.
- Drizzle in the powdered sugar in a continuous stream while still mixing the cream or in batches. Continue whipping until droopy peaks are formed. Set aside.
- Whip the premade pastry cream or custard and add in the mascarpone cream and whip again.
- Flavor with Amoretti® Cappuccino-Tiramisu Compound and give it a final mix.
- Fold in the whipped cream using a spatula, in two batches. Transfer the cream to a pastry bag fitted with a round tip. Set aside.
Layering:
- Take a large bowl and mix the hot coffee and rum together and keep it ready.
- In a 9 x 13 inches dessert tray, line the bottom with lady fingers dipped in the coffee mix. Be quick with this step as the soaked lady fingers will quickly dissolve in your fingers.
- Add a layer of mascarpone custard cream and smooth it out using an offset spatula.
- Repeat the steps until the tray has enough layers.
- Finally, top with dollops of mascarpone custard cream.
- Dust with cocoa powder and set in the refrigerator overnight to mature.
- Slice and serve! Enjoy!
Notes:
- For strong coffee flavored solution to dunk/soak the lady fingers in, you can use Amoretti® Premium Expresso Coffee Syrup in hot water.
- When layering, for a deeper flavor of Tiramisu, you can drizzle Amoretti® Crema Di Tiramisu Syrup in between the layers.
