Lavender Panna Cotta
Soft, floral and unforgettable! This Lavender Panna Cotta made with Amoretti® Violet Lavender Extract is a spring dream!
This is the kind of dessert that feels elegant yet effortless, sweet but not cloying, floral without being perfumey. In other words, it’s the balance you didn’t know your dessert table needed.
Panna cotta, which translates to “cooked cream” in Italian, is a classic chilled dessert known for its smooth, silky texture and rich, custard-like flavor. When infused with lavender, it takes on a floral sophistication that’s both unique and totally crave-worthy. The delicate notes of lavender give it a fresh, botanical twist that feels just right for spring—like a breath of fresh air in dessert form!
Lavender desserts are all the rage right now, especially when done right! In panna cotta, the creaminess mellows the lavender, so it doesn’t veer into soapy or overpowering territory. Instead, you get a spoonful of smooth, slightly floral bliss with every bite. This floral dessert is perfect for planning as brunch, garden party or an intimate spring dinner.
Whether you're a seasoned foodie or someone just dipping their toes into floral-forward desserts, Lavender Panna Cotta is a must-try. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of spring—sweet, light, and just the right amount of fancy.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cups Whole Milk
- 1 Tbs. Unflavored Gelatin Powder
- 1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups Heavy Cream
- 1 Tsp. Amoretti® Vanilla Madagascar Bourbon Extract (2x)
- 1/2 Tsp. Amoretti® Violet Lavender Extract
- Food Grade Lavender for Garnish
Directions
- Pour your milk into a medium saucepan, and sprinkle your gelatin evenly over top and let soften for about 5 minutes.
- Set the saucepan on low heat and gently warm the milk stirring frequently until the gelatin completely dissolves, should take just a minute or two. Make sure to never let the milk boil or simmer. The milk should get hot but not too hot to touch.
- Once the gelatin has completely dissolved, add your sugar in and stir until completely dissolved, should take about 3-5 minutes. Again, make sure not to let it boil.
- Remove from heat and whisk in your heavy cream, Amoretti® Vanilla Madagascar Bourbon Extract and Amoretti® Violet Lavender Extract.
- Pour into your desired dessert dishes or ramekins and chill for about 3-4 hours to allow the panna cotta to set.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- If you do not want to serve your panna cotta in dishes, make sure to grease your ramekins with cooking spray, then use a paper towel to wipe out most of the oil, leaving only a light residue before pouring the unset panna cotta in. When the panna cotta has set, to unmold, fill a large bowl with warm water, run a thin knife around the edges of the ramekin careful to not insert the knife all the way, just release the top edge. Then invert the ramekin onto a plate and gently shake.
