Mother's Day Pâte de Fruit
It’s time to make something sweet and colorful to celebrate the best mom in the world. Why not try these Lime and Blood Orange Pâte de Fruit? They are the perfect sweet indulgence your mom deserves!
Ingredients
LIME PÂTE DE FRUIT- ¼ cup Amoretti® Lime Swirl
- ¼ cup Amoretti® Blue Agave Nectar Clear
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp gelatin
- ½ cup sugar, for coating
- ¼ cup Amoretti® Blood Orange Swirl
- ¼ cup Amoretti® Blue Agave Nectar Clear
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp gelatin
- ½ cup sugar, for coating
- mini fluted silicone pan (we used this one)
Directions
- For each flavor, place all ingredients into a saucepan and whisk very gently to combine.
- Cook on medium heat to 107°C (224.6°F).
- Immediately remove from heat and strain.
- Pour into shallow silicon molds, flexible candy molds, or onto a Silpat-lined sheet pan.
- Chill overnight or at least 3 hours.
- Unmold and toss in granulated sugar to coat.
- Prepare everything before you start since you need to work quickly with this recipe, as the gelatin begins to set once it has been heated.
- Do not over whisk the ingredients. Vigorous whisking will incorporate air, giving your pâte de fruit an unpleasant texture.
