Ingredients:
Mascarpone Filling:
- 1 ½ cup heavy cream
- 16 ounces mascarpone cheese
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp Amoretti® Natural Blackberry Artisan Flavor
- 1 teaspoon Amoretti® Vanilla Madagascar Bourbon "European Style" (with Alcohol)
- 2-3 drops of purple food color, optional
For Assembly:
- 1 (7 oz) package ladyfingers (about 24)
- 3 cups of earl grey tea, steeped
Optional: Blackberry Compote
- 2 cups of blackberries, rinsed & dried
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
For the Filling:
- In a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, or a large bowl with a hand mixer, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Transfer to another bowl and set aside.
- If using a stand mixer, switch to the paddle attachment. In the mixer bowl combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, Amoretti® Natural Blackberry Artisan Flavor, and Amoretti® Vanilla Madagascar Bourbon. Whip until combined.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined and smooth.
Assembling the Tiramisu:
- Prior to assembling, steep the earl grey tea in 8 ounces of hot water for 5 minutes.
- Once steeped, begin by dipping the ladyfingers in the earl grey tea. Be quick to avoid soggy fingers; just a swift dip on each side will do. Arrange a layer of tea-soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of your serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of tea-soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone filling.
- Optional: transfer the remaining mascarpone filling into a piping back fitted with an open star tip and pipe little bits across the top of the tiramisu.
Optional: Prepare the Blackberry Compote:
- For an extra burst of blackberry flavor, you can prepare a simple compote. In a small saucepan, combine the blackberries, white sugar, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat until the berries break down and the mixture thickens, about 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool before using.
Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set. Before serving, you can top the tiramisu with the optional blackberry compote for an elegant finish.
