Haunt-o-ween Cakesicles

Ready to get that spooky Haunt-O-Ween party started? Make these creepy cute cakesicles and flavor them with our Pumpkin Spice compound. Are you team Candy Corn ghosties or Jack-O-lantern spookies or Macabre mysteries or Bloody Dagger Diaries? Whichever be it, they are sure to wow and boo! Happy Halloween folks!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Crumbled up cake of choice (preferably couple of days old)
  • ¼ cup Buttercream of choice
  • 1 Tbsp. Amoretti® Pumpkin Spice Compound
  •  Melted and colored white chocolate or candy melts of preferred colors
  • Cakesicle sticks
  • Cakesicle mold
  • Edible Halloween decoration of choice
  • Halloween Sprinkles of choice

Directions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the cake crumbs and buttercream along with the Pumpkin Spice Compound. Make sure everything is well mixed and keep going until it comes together like a dough. Keep aside.
  • Into the cavity of the cake pop mold, spread melted chocolate and apply a coating all throughout. Tap the mold on the counter to release the air bubbles.
  • Insert the cakesicle sticks in the hole for it. But don't push it all the way.
  • Refrigerate the mold for 10-15 minutes.
  • Take out and apple another layer of chocolate coating and refrigerate again for 10 minutes. This is to make sure that the chocolate layer is fully opaque and not brittle anywhere.
  • Drop in some cake dough into the hardened chocolate base and press it in gently to make sure you cover every bit of it.
  • Push the cakesicle sticks into the cake dough, almost till the middle.
  • Pour more melted chocolate over the cake dough and seal the cake dough inside. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  • Gently pop out the cakesicles and use melted chocolate to stick edible garnishes and sprinkles!
  • These stay good at room temperature for 3-4 days or refrigerated for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!  Happy Halloween everyone!
