Gluten-Free Brown Sugar Cinnamon Breakfast Pastry

If you want to enjoy a nostalgic treat that is vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free, this Brown Sugar Cinnamon Breakfast Pastry is the perfect guilt-free fix! It's creamy, crunchy, and made with wholesome ingredients that'll leave you wanting more.

Ingredients

Gluten-Free Crust:
Brown Sugar Filling:
  • 2 tbsp. of brown sugar (fine)
  • 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp. coconut oil melted
French Toast Icing:

Directions

Gluten Free Crust
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix Amoretti Blanched Almond Flour and gluten-free flour.
  3. Once combined, add in coconut oil, water and Amoretti® Vanilla Bean Paste. Mix until soft dough forms
  4. Split the dough in half and roll both halfs out onto the parchment paper to create two rectangles. Set aside until you make filling.
Brown Sugar Filling
  1. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and coconut oil. 
  2. Spread evenly into the middle of one dough rectangle, leaving room on the edges.
  3. Place the second half of the dough on top and pinch the edges together using a fork
  4. Bake for about 17-18 minutes and allow to cool.
French Toast Icing
  1. In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, Amoretti® Natural French Toast Artisan Flavor, cinnamon, and water.
  2. Drizzle on top of pastry and enjoy!!
