The Almond Extract adds a beautiful nutty addition to the flavors of banana and the crunch of real roasted almonds in this bread creating the perfect blend of flavors. Adding Vanilla Madagascar Bourbon Extract rounds the recipe out and creates depth. We also use a bit of our Natural Banana Artisan for a more pronounced banana flavor. Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. and line a greased loaf pan (8x4) with parchment paper and set aside. 
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together your flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon then set aside.
  3. Using a hand or stand mixer cream your brown sugar and butter together until light and fluffy. 
  4. Add in your eggs, mashed bananas, Amoretti® Natural Banana Artisan, Amoretti® Vanilla Madagascar Bourbon Extract (2X), and Amoretti® Almond Extract and mix until completely combined. 
  5. With the mixer on low, slowly add in your dry ingredients and mix until just combined. 
  6. Gently fold in your chopped roasted almonds, then pour into your prepared loaf pan, and stick it in the oven to bake for about 55-65 minutes, making sure to loosely cover with aluminum foil halfway through to prevent the top from browning too much. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center, if it comes out clean, it's done!
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 1 hour before removing from the pan. Then set the loaf on a wire rack to finish cooling. 
  8. Cover and store your Banana Almond Bread at room temp. for 2 days, in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or wrapped in plastic wrap inside a freezer bag in the freezer for 3-4 months!
