Natural Pistachio Extract Oil Soluble in biscotti/toast

I am an amateur baker and used this extract in a standard biscotti recipe. I call it pistachio toast: I used additional butter, a few dashes of cardamom (a nod to ancient Persia) and did not double bake the cut toast to make “true” biscotti.

I added pistachios that I chopped in a manual nut chopper, as grinding up nuts in a processor is not optimal. This added texture and fullness of flavor. No other flavorings were added.

The flavor in the pistachio toast was excellent! Good natural pistachio flavor with a hint of vanilla is how I would describe it. One taster described the toast as having the flavor of pistachio gelato. The toast was a hit a I will be making making more soon.

This extract is easy to use and imparts great flavor. Care must be taken, as this is not the alcohol-based extract you get in a supermarket. You use less and get a richer flavor, which is exactly what I wanted.
