Unicorn Blood

Amoretti Recipe: Unicorn Blood Cocktail

We'd like to take a moment to wish our favorite wizard (and his author!) a very happy birthday! Our lives would be much less magical without them, no question. We hope you'll celebrate with us and shake up our newest cocktail for a birthday toast.

While drinking actual unicorn blood will leave you living a cursed half-life, our version is the perfect celebratory beverage! Makes 1 cocktail.

Ingredients

GARNISH
  • lavender sprigs
  • sugared blueberries

Directions

  1. Add liqueurs, fresh juices, Blueberry Craft Puree, Blue Agave Nectar, and edible glitter in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously to chill.
  3. Pour contents of shaker into glass and top with club soda or champagne.
  4. Garnish with lavender sprigs and sugared blueberries.
TIPS:
  • Crème de Violette liqueur was our choice for its pure, delicate flavor and gorgeous purple color.
  • We used this lilac glitter but any ultra-fine, food-safe edible glitter will work.

Muito interessante!

Chanell, you could use violet syrup instead of violet liqueur.

Maybe just to use Viniq? Instead of edible glitter and violet liqueur.

Hi Chanell,

While we haven’t tried a non-alcoholic version of our Unicorn Blood Cocktail, we think it would be delicious if you left out the vodka and violet liqueur and replaced the grand marnier with an equal amount of orange juice. Add an extra splash of club soda and viola! a kid-friendly shimmering drink!

Let us know how this variation worked for you and happy mixing!
