Tart Apple Sorbet

A fresh and healthy frozen treat, perfect for summer days! Our Tart Apple Artisan is the key ingredient for this unique sorbet.

Ingredients

FOR SERVING
  • ¼ honeydew melon, diced (about 2 cups)
  • 5-6 fresh mint leaves, diced
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
  • sorbet or ice cream maker
  • large sieve

Directions

  1. Freeze sorbet container overnight.
  2. Core and slice apples.
  3. Poach slices over medium heat with lemon juice, sugar and apple juice until soft, about 5 minutes.
  4. Set aside to cool.
  5. Purée apples and their liquid in a food processor.
  6. Strain to remove skins and stir in Sour Apple Artisan.
  7. Chill mix at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Combine diced melon and mint in a lare bowl, mix well. Cover and chill for one hour.
  9. Pour sorbet mix into ice cream maker and mix until frozen.
  10. Spoon melon/mint mixture into glass bowl or martini glass.
  11. Place scoop of sorbet on top.
  12. Top with mint leaf.
