Mango Sago

Mango Sago

There’s something instantly comforting about a chilled bowl of mango sago, the kind of dessert that feels like sunshine in every spoonful. With its silky blend of ripe mangoes, creamy milk, and delightfully chewy tapioca pearls, this beloved treat has become a staple across Asian dessert tables, especially on warm days when you crave something light yet satisfying.

What makes mango sago so irresistible is its perfect balance of textures and flavors. The natural sweetness of fresh mango pairs beautifully with the rich, velvety cream, while the soft, bouncy sago pearls add a playful bite to every mouthful. By incorporating Amoretti® Natural Mango Artisan Flavor, the dessert takes on an even deeper mango flavor and a more vibrant, golden hue that makes it as visually appealing as it is delicious. It’s simple, refreshing, and surprisingly easy to make at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tapioca pearls
  • 1 cup whole milk or coconut milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk (adjust to taste)
  • 1 jar nata de coco jelly
  • 2 tsp Amoretti® Natural Mango Artisan Flavor
  • 2 mangos

Directions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil, then add the tapioca pearls. Stir occasionally so they don’t stick and cook until they turn mostly translucent (about 10–15 minutes).
  2. Turn off the heat, cover, and let them sit for a few minutes until fully clear. Drain and rinse with cold water, then set aside.
  3. Drain the nata de coco and rinse it with water once, then set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked tapioca pearls, chopped mango pieces, and nata de coco jelly. Add the whole milk (or coconut milk), evaporated milk, condensed milk, and mango artisan syrup. Stir everything together until well combined, smooth, and creamy.
  5. Chill in the fridge for at least 4–6 hours or overnight before serving.
  6. Serve cold and enjoy!
