Lemon Thyme Bars

Lemon Thyme Bars are a refreshing treat, perfect for picnics and afternoon treats!

Ingredients

CRUST
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • pinch of salt
FILLING DUSTING
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Directions

CRUST
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Add flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
  4. Press into a 9×13 baking sheet, building the dough up on the sides.
  5. Dock the dough and bake for 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
  6. Let cool completely.
FILLING
  1. Whisk eggs and sugar.
  2. Add flour and whisk to combine.
  3. Scrape down the bowl and add Thyme Oil Extract, lemon zest and juice. Mix well.
  4. Pour into cooled crust.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 min.
  6. Cool completely before chilling at least 1 hour.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar immediately before serving.
We've updated the classic lemon bar with a pinch of thyme!
