How to Make Flavored Simple Syrup

Simple syrup can be used in just about anything. From adding a little sweetness to your morning coffee or tea, balancing out flavors in your cocktail or brushing it onto your baked goods to add moisture and flavor, simple syrup is very versatile. Did you know that it's also really easy to make? They call it "simple" syrup for a reason! You can make it with only 2 ingredients, but today, we are going to teach you how to flavor it using Amoretti® Extracts!

One of the biggest advantages of making simple syrup at home, is the ability to customize it completely to your liking. Traditionally, simple syrup is 1 part sugar to one part water, but if you want a sweeter and richer syrup, you can use 2 parts sugar to one part water. If using flavoring, you can customize the flavor concentration by adding more or less extract.

  1. In a pot on medium heat, stir together your water and sugar until sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Add in your Amoretti® Extract of choice and stir until incorporated.
  3. Transfer into a jar, let cool completely and store in the fridge for up to 1 month.
