Homemade Caramel Apple Lollipops

Caramel apple suckers are probably one of the most nostalgic Halloween candies there is, and guess what.. they are incredibly easy to make at home with just a few simple ingredients! The flavor of the sucker can also be customized by switching the Tart Apple Extract for any of our Water Soluble Extracts

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Insert sucker sticks into molds and lightly spray with non stick cooking spray
  2. Place molds in freezer
  3. Combine sugar, water and corn syrup in a sauce pan and heat until sugar is dissolved
  4. Insert candy thermometer and bring mixture to 300 degrees F (hard crack stage). You no longer need to stir at this point
  5. Let cool for a minute or two
  6. Add Extract and food coloring to desired color and mix well
  7. Remove molds from freezer and carefully pour candy mixture into them, pressing sticks back into place as needed
  8. Let cool for 2-3 hours
  9. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper
  10. Once suckers are cooled heat the caramel in a microwave or double broiler until melted
  11. Dip each sucker into caramel and press onto parchment paper.
  12. Let cook for about a hour
  13. Enjoy
Tips:

Cleaning your pan: You can easily remove any hardened candy from you pan by filling it with water and placing on the stove to dissolve anything stuck in the pan

Storing: You can store these in a food storage container, just line each layer of suckers with parchment paper to prevent them from sticking together. You can also wrap individually in treat bags like these
