  2. Melt together your chocolate chips and butter, then stir in the sugar, Vanilla Bean Paste and Butter Pecan Artisan.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until bubbly on top, then mix into the chocolate mixture until it turns thick and glossy. Stir in your flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and 1/4 cup of your dark chocolate chunks until just combined
  4. Pour the mixture into your lined baking pan then bake for about 20 minutes until the brownies are just set.
  5. While the brownies are still hot, place the remaining dark chocolate chunks over the top of the  pre cooked brownies.
Pecan Pie Layer
  1. Whisk together your brown sugar, eggs and egg yolks until pale in color, then add the Vanilla Bean Paste, Butter Pecan Artisan, heavy cream, maple syrup and butter, whisk until combined.
  2. Fold in the pecans then pour this mixture on top of your pre cooked brownies.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is just set, if the pecan pie layer is still jiggly in the middle, bake for another 15-20 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven, serve, and enjoy!
Notes
  • Make sure to use use high-quality dark chocolate that is 60-70% cocoa.
  • You can enhance the nutty flavor by toasting the pecans before incorporating them into the filling.
  • Take the brownies out of the pan before cooling completely, this prevents the topping from sticking to the parchment paper and makes for an easier removal.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing. This step helps the layers set properly, resulting in clean slices.
  • For extra deliciousness, serve with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
  • Store these brownies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
