Garden Party Mocktail
Summer is officially here and that can only mean one thing...Summer drink season has commenced!
Perfect for days spent by the pool, relaxing at the beach, or hanging inside to beat the heat, this Garden Party Mocktail does it all. Made with cucumber and lime juice, Amoretti® Premium Elderflower Syrup, and topped off with some sparkling water, it's the ultimate sip to keep you hydrated and cool all summer long.
To get this mocktail tasting like it's regular counterpart (aka the version with Elderflower Liqueur) you'll need to grab yourself a bottle of our Amoretti® Premium Elderflower Syrup.
It's soft, subtle, and fresh with fruity notes reminiscent of pear and lychee. This syrup gives you all the flavor you need without any alcohol.
Combined with the fresh cucumber and lime juice, this syrup takes the drink from a juice, to a mocktail.
It's also a multi-use product! With a couple pumps of syrup you can create: a latte, matcha, cake soak, buttercream, etc...It will last you months and give you incredible flavor anytime you decide to put it to use--which is a win if you ask us!
Let's get to the good stuff...Shall we?
Ingredients
- 4 oz cucumber juice (2 whole cucumbers & 1/4 cup of water, blended & strained)
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- 2 pumps of Amoretti® Premium Elderflower Syrup
- Ice
- cucumber ribbons, garnish
- chamomile flowers, edible garnish
Directions
To make cucumber juice:
- Take two freshly washed, peeled, and chopped cucumbers and add to a blender with 1/4 cup of water. Blend until smoothe.
- Pour into a mesh bag or over cheesecloth. Squeeze until all liquid has been removed. If any cucumber bits fall out of the bag, simply pour the mixture through a strainer before making the cocktail. This will get any remaining bits out.
To make the cocktail:
- Combine the cucumber juice, lime juice, Amoretti® Premium Elderflower Syrup, and ice into a shaker and shake until cold.
- Strain into an ice filled cup and garnish with cucumber ribbons & chamomile flowers.
To make the garnish:
- Take a fresh washed and dried cucumber and start peeling long, straight ribbons of cucumber, length-wise.
- The goal here is to get texture! Be sure not to cut off any of the outside of the cucumber. The dark green skin is paramount!
- With two pieces of cucumber shaved, begin to fold them together. Think of cake batter falling off of a spoon. You want it to almost look like an accordian/ruffles.
- Secure with a cocktail pick and lay on top of your drink.
