Coconut Flan

Ingredients

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
  • 9" glass pie dish

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt sugar until liquefied and golden in color.
  3. Carefully pour hot syrup into a 9" round glass baking dish, rotating the dish to evenly coat the bottom and sides. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, beat eggs for about 30 seconds.
  5. Beat in sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla, and Toasted Coconut Cream Extract until smooth.
  6. Pour egg mixture into baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake in preheated oven 45-60 minutes until set, the center should wobble slightly. Let cool completely.
  8. To serve, carefully invert on serving plate with edges so the caramel can't run off.
TIPS:
  • Garnish with whipped cream and berries if desired.
