Apple cider cupcakes with salted caramel frosting are a great anytime cupcake, but especially in the fall! These apple cider inspired cupcakes feel like a warm hug with applesauce in the batter along with cozy spices like cinnamon, cloves and allspice. CAKE
- Preheat oven to 350 F and line cupcake tin with liners
- Mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside
- In a medium bowl cream together sugar and butter.
- Mix in eggs until well combined.
- Mix in apple sauce and extracts until well combined, scaping bowl as needed.
- In increments mix in dry ingredients until well combined, scraping bowl as needed.
- Add batter to cupcake tine and bake for 12-15 min or until toothpick comes out clean
BUTTERCREAM
- In a stand mixer or with hand mixer cream butter until pale and fluffy.
- Add salt and mix in your desired amount of sugar.
- Add 1-2 tbsp. heavy cream to reach your desired consistency.
- Mix in Artisan.
- Fill into piping b ag and pipe onto cupcakes.
