Naturally flavored, shelf-stable, gluten free, kosher and vegan, Amoretti Gourmet Salted Caramel Icing is perfect for frosting finished baked goods, or for dipping, piping, filling and glazing. At room temperature, Amoretti Gourmet Salted Caramel Icing can be used as is or whipped with butter, cream cheese, vegetable shortening, or whipping cream to a spreading consistency for frosting cakes, cookies or cupcakes. Stuff whipped Amoretti Gourmet Salted Caramel Icing into a pastry bag and decorate cakes and cookies, or change the tip and fill cupcakes, pastries or doughnuts. You can heat it in the top of a double boiler or in the microwave at 10 to 15 second increments to create a ganache for Bundt cakes or for dipping cake pops. If you thin the icing with milk, water or fruit juice, you can glaze cinnamon buns, coat deep fried doughnuts, or drizzle it over fresh baked waffles.
