How to Make and Flavor American Buttercream with Artisan Natural Flavors

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 3-5 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Amoretti® Artisan Natural Flavor of your choice (3-4 tbsp if use level is 8-10%)

Directions

  1. Beat butter in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer for 5 minutes on medium-high speed. Stop halfway through to scrape the sides of the bowl.
  2. Lower the speed to medium-low. Add powdered sugar in small increments.
  3. Add vanilla and mix on low until incorporated.
  4. Add Artisan. Stop halfway through to scrape the sides of the bowl.
  5. Add heavy cream 1 tbsp at a time until desired consistency is reached.
